First... Packed up and Drove Cross Country

We had to pack up a few weeks before we left which means we've been living out of a suitcase since mid-March.  Trevr had surgery on his eyes at the end of March, so Jessica had to do most of the driving.  Here is Trevr sleeping with Asher on the air mattress that has become the only permanent thing in our lives.  Most boys think they have superman for a father... Asher really does.  Check out the superhero glasses... also known as the glasses Trevr had to wear after his surgery.

After leaving Jacksonville, we headed straight to Charlotte, NC to visit Asher's sassy cousin Elle, Aunt Taya, Uncle Ben, and fetus Jack... now known as baby Jack.
Elle practicing for her little brother.  She was very good to let us know when she was finished holding Asher and never once just rolled him onto the floor.  Jack is in good hands.
Asher is not stoned in this picture... he might be milk-drunk.  We think he's chatting with his cousin in Taya's belly... "don't worry kid, it's a tough world on the outside but I'll show you the ropes once you break out of there".  Taya was nine-months pregnant and looked fantastic.  We are going to miss being a quick six-hour drive from their house.  Visits to their house were some of the highlights of our years on the east coast.
Next, we packed up and drove to Cincinnati to visit cousin Grayson, Aunt Lexy, and uncle Mikey. Grayson and Asher were too young to really acknowledge each other most of the time...
but Grayson occasionally showed Asher what it would be like to have a big brother.
Uncle Mikey... ready for two?
We are going to miss you guys but are thrilled that you're moving to Utah.  Hopefully it means we will get to see you more often.  Oh... and congrats on graduating from law school Mikey.

Then... the Gateway to the West. It was a cold day in St. Louis, but we decided to wait the two hours and go to the top of the arch.

It was a long car ride to Denver.  Luckily Asher was like this most of the time...
with only occasional bouts of this.
And only one major diaper explosion to speak of... in a Kansas ghost town on an old dirt road next to the freeway.  Speaking of Kansas... it is the black hole of the United States, sucking all light and goodness from the earth. We think "The Nothing" came through and robbed the state of any buildings, people, or beauty... and left only a few cops behind to rule the wasteland.  I'm not bitter and this has nothing to do with the fact that I got a speeding ticket shortly after this picture was taken.
We spent some time in Denver with Jessica's friends Nicole and Jared but forgot to take pictures.  They live in a fantastic apartment downtown and it was fun to explore the city since that is where Trevr wants to live when he finally settles down in 2090. From there it was a quick trip to Utah.
We'll leave off there until next time.
