Okay, so I'm just going to fly through these... because I'm that far behind.

Now we're in Okinawa... first time in swings
With daddy in Uniform

It was a long plane ride... but a good one
Our first beach in Okinawa
The View from our window
First slide Ride

First Swing

You are not allowed to live in Okinawa unless you have your toes done at Cocoks... and they have to be completely over the top. Why yes, you do see glitter.

Asher started rolling over at about 3 1/2 months... which made diaper changes difficult
I hope this picture doesn't offend anyone. :)
Lovin Daddy

From our balcony

First taste of rice cereal... yum.
Incidentally, rice cereal makes a good hair gel. I have no idea how it got in there.
On the reef outside our home

This is the view of our home from the reef at low tide

He even sleeps like Trevr
First time at the pool- 3 months old and he loved it

Trevr and I got our divers' licenses. So much fun.
My best friend's aunt and uncle (Caroline and Ron) also live here on the island... small world.
What do you do when you need to use the restroom and you have a baby...The Japanese think of everything
Now we're back at the pool... I'm a new blogger... it will get better

Visiting Trevr's Family...

I am a little behind since these pictures are from some time in mid-April. In an effort to actually get caught up, I'm just going to throw a lot of pictures at you with a few brief explanations. If I do this, you might actually get to see Japan before we leave... but no promises.
Trevr's Grandpa Wilson with Asher.
It was a bit cold in Roosevelt. After living in Florida, you would think I could manage a color other than pasty-white. No such luck. Between Trevr's fish-belly white and my glow in the dark blue-white, poor kid doesn't stand a chance.
This is Brent and Ashlie's dog, Sammy. She was wonderful with Asher... plenty of kissing and sniffing... but always gentle. Asher loved it.

Grandma and Grandpa Wildson
Plus... Ashlie and Brent.

This was Asher's first experience with snow. He couldn't stop blinking at all the white stuff hitting his face.

Trevr's mom and dad were so kind. They took us ice-fishing while we were there and we went to Jackson, Wyoming. We even met big-foot.

Asher cuddling with grandpa Eborn.
We met up with Trevr's brother Brian who is going to school at ISU in Pocatello. We miss you Uncle Brian! We've been searching all the anime stores here in Okinawa... you're going to love it.
I realized that I have been mentioning Asher's new cousin Jack, but that I haven't shown any pictures. Here he is with his sister Elle. Aren't they the cutest kids in the world? I can say that since I'm not their mom... and it's true.

Easter Weekend

We spent Easter Weekend in Utah with J's family. Asher didn't get any of this candy... well, maybe a little second-hand. I don't know that he would have wanted any... he looks a little suspicious.
A little lovin' with Aunt Katie who took good care of Asher while we were there.
On Saturday J's mom and dad threw us a Sip n' See party so that friends and family could meet Asher. (Thank you Ann and Dave!) We were so happy to see everyone and grateful to all the friends and family who made the effort to come out. We haven't received all the pictures from the party yet, but we have received a few.
J and Nkoyo...
Ashlie and Brent... (Ashlie made an incredible quiet book for Asher... I wish I had a picture to post- it was amazing)
Adam, J, Josh, and their beautiful daughter Mya...
There were five generations on J's dad's side. Asher, J, grandpa Dave, great grandma, and great, great grandpa.
J's Family
The proud great grandparents on J's side.
The fam... minus Sue, Mikey, Alexis, & Grayson... we miss you guys.
(Asher didn't know to hold still for the camera)
Trevr's Fam... Again... Asher is more blur than baby. We were so glad they were able to drive down from Idaho for the weekend. Taya, Ben, Elle and Jack weren't able to make it... Jack was born two weeks later so they had other things to keep them busy. We missed you.
The Boys... Trevr's brothers Brian and Brent and dad, Don.
Trevr's parents Annette and Don.
Grannie Annie has pictures of the grand kids in their blessing outfits. All the boys wear the same tux... also known as the pimp suit. Is that sacrilegious?

First... Packed up and Drove Cross Country

We had to pack up a few weeks before we left which means we've been living out of a suitcase since mid-March.  Trevr had surgery on his eyes at the end of March, so Jessica had to do most of the driving.  Here is Trevr sleeping with Asher on the air mattress that has become the only permanent thing in our lives.  Most boys think they have superman for a father... Asher really does.  Check out the superhero glasses... also known as the glasses Trevr had to wear after his surgery.

After leaving Jacksonville, we headed straight to Charlotte, NC to visit Asher's sassy cousin Elle, Aunt Taya, Uncle Ben, and fetus Jack... now known as baby Jack.
Elle practicing for her little brother.  She was very good to let us know when she was finished holding Asher and never once just rolled him onto the floor.  Jack is in good hands.
Asher is not stoned in this picture... he might be milk-drunk.  We think he's chatting with his cousin in Taya's belly... "don't worry kid, it's a tough world on the outside but I'll show you the ropes once you break out of there".  Taya was nine-months pregnant and looked fantastic.  We are going to miss being a quick six-hour drive from their house.  Visits to their house were some of the highlights of our years on the east coast.
Next, we packed up and drove to Cincinnati to visit cousin Grayson, Aunt Lexy, and uncle Mikey. Grayson and Asher were too young to really acknowledge each other most of the time...
but Grayson occasionally showed Asher what it would be like to have a big brother.
Uncle Mikey... ready for two?
We are going to miss you guys but are thrilled that you're moving to Utah.  Hopefully it means we will get to see you more often.  Oh... and congrats on graduating from law school Mikey.

Then... the Gateway to the West. It was a cold day in St. Louis, but we decided to wait the two hours and go to the top of the arch.

It was a long car ride to Denver.  Luckily Asher was like this most of the time...
with only occasional bouts of this.
And only one major diaper explosion to speak of... in a Kansas ghost town on an old dirt road next to the freeway.  Speaking of Kansas... it is the black hole of the United States, sucking all light and goodness from the earth. We think "The Nothing" came through and robbed the state of any buildings, people, or beauty... and left only a few cops behind to rule the wasteland.  I'm not bitter and this has nothing to do with the fact that I got a speeding ticket shortly after this picture was taken.
We spent some time in Denver with Jessica's friends Nicole and Jared but forgot to take pictures.  They live in a fantastic apartment downtown and it was fun to explore the city since that is where Trevr wants to live when he finally settles down in 2090. From there it was a quick trip to Utah.
We'll leave off there until next time.

Too Much Information

We have not fallen off the face of the planet...
we simply had a baby, Trevr graduated with his masters from Georgetown, we packed up, Trevr had eye surgery, we moved from Jacksonville, drove cross-country to visit family and friends, stopped in St. Louis to look at the arch, got a speeding ticket, had a sip n' see to introduce Asher to Friends and Family, visited Jessica's family in Utah, Trevr's in Idaho, said goodbye, flew to Okinawa, found a place to live, learned how to drive on the left side of the road, got our driver's licenses, purchased a car, found our church, found out it was the wrong one, found our new church, (it's still the wrong one... shhhh), unpacked, celebrated Trevr's birthday, first father's day and our five-year anniversary.

So that's why we haven't updated our blog.

But for those of you who insist on a recap... here it goes.  A little at a time.  Until I catch up and can do them weekly... or monthly... or semi-regularly...

We'll see.
